March 23

Here are some pieces I did last week. The top piece was done in 2.5 hours at the Costume Portrait class held at the Nevada Museum of Art. The middle piece was created at a fellow artist's studio, Ron Spears. Check out his work if you can. He's an amazing painter. Lastly, the bottom portrait was created at the local portrait society. It was about 2.5 hours of work, as well.

Red River

I got a new Intous4 tablet over the weekend which replaces my Intous1 I've had since the 90's. In any case, here's my first sketch with it.

Nicolai Fechin - Master Copy
It has been ages since my last post. Sort of lost track of time. Well, no time like the present to get started again. This is a master copy of one of Nicolai Fechin's works. I learned a lot from it, especially his brushwork which is both beautiful and complex.

Around The World In 80 Days
These are some background paintings I created for a cancelled game, titled "Around The World In 80 Days". My job was to paint one very large panorama of the world which would serve as a backdrop to the game. Unfortunately, I only completed a section from Hawaii to the Atlantic Coast before the game was scrapped. It was still fun to be involved with.
